Interior Door Types
We sell two types of interior doors. Solid core and hollow core.
Solid core doors, sometimes called composite doors are very popular. They are made from a moulded composite or plywood exterior on a frame. This is then filled with wood fibres. Due to their make, they have a better fire rating than hollow core doors. Thanks to their weight they feel much better in your hand. They offer the look and feel of a hardwood door but at a cheaper price.
Hollow core doors are our cheapest doors. Despite this, they are actually the best option if heat and humidity level is always changing in your home. They deal with this better and warp less. Despite their name, they are not completely hollow. A cardboard honeycomb is sandwiched between the plywood exterior panels.
